A Message from Mrs. Jennifer Aquino, Principal of John Hill School

Welcome to the John Hill School web page. I am so very excited to start a new school year! I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome all of you into our learning community. The John Hill School Staff are partners in your child’s education. We are committed to providing outstanding instruction, a caring and supportive environment, and fun, yet rigorous learning experiences for your children.

Our goal here at John Hill School is to teach children to become independent learners and to help them apply skills that were developed in the primary grades. The John Hill School staff delivers a rich and varied program designed to prepare children to excel as students and to become life-long learners who need to be ready for a changing world.

The teachers and staff set high academic and behavioral expectations for all of our children. We celebrate our successes as we challenge and enrich each child. We will use continuous assessments to monitor our students’ progress and to guide our instruction. This valuable data will also provide us with insight into the appropriate interventions that some students may need. We will look at each child as an individual and differentiate our instruction in order to meet his or her needs. As we strive to provide the best instruction for each child, we believe strongly that instruction has to be supported in the home and by the community. When we all work together, our children will have the best opportunity to reach their full potential.

Parent involvement at John Hill School is an integral part of the school’s culture. Because the Parent Teacher Association provides countless hours of volunteer service, John Hill is a richer community in which children always come first. Please get involved! We love having parent volunteers during the school day.
