2009-2010 Building Level Objectives
Math
By the end of June 2010, there will be 100% proficiency achievement in the following mathematical operations by all students in each of the following grades:
Fourth Grade:

All students in grade 4 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 addition problems in two minutes;

All students in grade 4 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 subtraction problems in two minutes;

All students in grade 4 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 single-digit multiplication problems in two minutes;
-
All students in grade 4 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 single digit division problems in two minutes.*
Fifth Grade:

All students in grade 5 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 addition problems in two minutes;

All students in grade 5 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 single-digit subtraction problems in two minutes;

All students in grade 5 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 multiplication problems in two minutes;
-
All students in grade 5 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 division problems in two minutes.*
Sixth Grade:

All students in grade 6 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 addition problems in two minutes;

All students in grade 6 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 subtraction problems in two minutes;

All students in grade 6 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 multiplication problems in two minutes;
-
All students in grade 6 will achieve proficiency by answering at least 68 out of 80 division problems in two minutes.*
*Division problems will be administered in a tiered method. Three different versions of math minutes will be given at each grade level.
Language Arts Literacy / Writing
By June 2010, through the use of weekly non-fiction writing prompts, the 5th grade writing scores will improve. The NJASK school mean will be at, or higher than, the district factor group in 5th grade writing.
