A Message from Jacalyn Richardson, Principal
Let me be the first to welcome our new and returning middle school families to BMS. The middle school years are ones that include a great amount of change and challenges for students. Boonton Middle School encourages students to not only embrace these challenges and use them as an opportunity for growth, but also take positive risks and use every day to improve themselves.
Boonton Middle School provides a student-centered flexible program with various learning environments. Our curriculum will provide each student the opportunity to become self-directing and self-sustaining in a friendly, positive and encouraging atmosphere. The educational programs and curriculum are designed, staffed and implemented in an environment that will meet all of the needs of our students.
Boonton Middle School is committed to achieving excellence in education and strongly believes collaboration and meaningful partnerships with parents and guardians are the ingredients necessary to provide our students with the best opportunities to succeed academically, emotionally, and socially. In addition to academics, there are many opportunities for students to become involved in extra-curricular activities, including a wide range of sports and leadership programs.
As your principal, I will work very hard to provide direction and leadership for our faculty, staff and students. This will result in a well-rounded educational experience for our students and prepare them for their high school years and beyond. In order to stay up-to-date, please visit our web site regularly. You may retrieve daily announcements, weekly updates, and important classroom information through our newly adopted Ed-Line parent portal. Be sure to register for the E-blast system. This tool makes it possible to receive important updates from the district or from the Middle School via your personal e-mail. Checking the Electronic Backpack will also keep you current on all of the happenings in the community-at-large.
I look forward to meeting each of you at our back to school night, parent teacher conferences, showcase of excellence, concerts, and our many extra-curricular activities.
