The Gateway Academy allows students to earn as much as one full year’s worth of college credit with the opportunity to take part in mentoring programs and tour Ivy and highly-competitive universities.
Designed for ambitious students who demonstrate strong leadership abilities, the Gateway Academy offers a rigorous academic schedule with unique academic and out-of-the-classroom opportunities. With select courses offered exclusively to Gateway Academy students, students can earn as much as one full year of college credit in addition to College Board’s AP Capstone Diploma. In addition, students have the opportunity to tailor their course of study to one of seven current concentrations. Students will also earn as many as two microcredentials each year, and work towards a senior-year multimedia thesis project that engages the larger community.
Though the Gateway Academy is designed for high-achieving students, they are fully integrated into Boonton High School, and can fully participate in our robust offering of extracurricular programs and activities.
