NJ Seal of Biliteracy
Boonton High School is part of the New Jersey Department of Education Seal of Biliteracy program. Biliteracy is when students have studied, and are proficient in at least one language in addition to English by the time they graduate from high school.
There are many benefits to earning a Seal of Biliteracy. A Seal of Biliteracy can help a student earn college credits, and help open the door to many exciting career opportunities. To learn more about the Seal of Biliteracy Program at Boonton High School, join Mrs. Stratton, our Supervisor of Humanities, for a virtual session on October 22, 2024, from 6:30- 7:00 p.m.
Being biliterate is when a person can read, write, speak, and understand two or more languages. Last year we had twelve students in the Class of 2024 earn the Seal of Biliteracy in five languages. We offer the Seal of Biliteracy in over 100 languages.
