Teen Advocacy Group at BHS
The Boonton Department of Special Education’s Teen Advocacy Group is in its 17th year in our community. TAG is a program designed to give our students the opportunity to socialize while engaging in learning activities with each other. Students aged 14-21 who have an IEP and would like to make new friends are encouraged to join. Throughout the year, TAG students and student mentors will interact and create friendships while enjoying many engaging activities. TAG students will participate in Friendsgiving, a Halloween costume party, Holiday gift exchange, and bowling to name a few. Teen Advocacy Group was recognized in 2012 by the New Jersey School Boards Association for creative, successful programming for students with special needs. Contact our district coordinator, Linda Mauriello with any questions.
