STEM academy scholars participated in a career day at Students to Science. Students took on the role of environmental scientists trying to locate a contaminate in a school's water supply, system engineers using code to fix an automated car, cosmetic research scientists to test the efficacy of sunscreens, and biomedical research scientists where they genetically engineered bacteria to glow when exposed to pesticides!
