STEM Academy students participated in Students2Science’s STEM day. Students participated in various experiments that simulated real world uses of STEM - students built efficient wind turbines, learned the best way to dispose of biohazard waste, and learned about the different chemicals that make fireworks colorful!




National Girls & Women in Sports Day is an annual celebration that inspires girls and women to play and be active, and to realize their full power. Alexis Visioli was Boonton High School's representative this year, and was honored at a Rutgers Women's Basketball game. Alexis is a 3 sport athlete where she has earned 11 varsity letters so far in soccer, basketball and softball. She will become a 12 varsity letter winner once softball starts up in the spring.



The Business Academy students toured ArizonaLand, the manufacturing facility where Arizona Tea and related products are produced. During the visit, students received a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, sampled a variety of teas, and learned about the company’s history as well as its current operations.

The Boonton High School Wrestling program hosted its annual alumni night this week. The Bombers defeated Parsippany 43-29. Thank you to all our wrestling alumni who came to support the program.

Students from the Aviation Academy and Aviation classes attended a trip to the Aviation Hall of Fame located at Teterboro Airport. The students saw a collection of historic aircraft, unique artifacts like the Hindenburg wreckage, the first American hovercraft, and a Hall of Fame honoring New Jersey aviation pioneers.




Recently, students in Boonton High School's Key Club collected socks and donated them to Brandon's Heart and Sole - an organization that assists homeless shelters and people in need.


Recently, Ms. Angelillo's Art classes and Mr. Emering's World History classes visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The MET is the fourth-largest museum in the world and the most-visited museum in the United States. This enriching experience gave students the opportunity to engage directly with world-class art, history, and culture, supporting classroom learning through real-world exploration.




The Business Academy and FBLA attended an FBLA/DECA Day hosted by the NJ Devils. Students participated in a panel discussion, received a tour of the stadium, and watched a game. It was an eventful day where students collaborated with other schools and learned how business jobs can be found in many fields; even sports!

Recently, Ms. Angelillo's class held their end of project critiques. Students discussed Surrealism and how to create works of art that bend reality and question what it means to play with abstraction. Students created their own pieces and gave each other meaningful, constructive feedback to help them grow as artists.


The STEM Academy went to Liberty Science Center and participated in their Lazy Cutting class. Students used the software OnShape to design and print a souvenir drink coaster. Students then explored the museum and had lunch with staff who spoke about current and past projects.

AENJ Conference Presenter
Recently, Ms. Angelillo had the opportunity to present at the AENJ (Art Educators of New Jersey) Conference. Her session titled, Beyond "I like it": Building Trust and Engagement in the Art Critique Process" focused on creating a supportive classroom culture where students feel seen, valued, and confident sharing their ideas. By modeling vulnerability, incorporating structured peer feedback, and emphasizing growth over perfection, she shared strategies that empower young artists to connect, collaborate, and critique with authenticity and respect.





Students from all NJAC high schools recently participated in the Inaugural NJAC Wellness Summit at Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, NJ. Over 300 students attended the one-day workshop that provided students the opportunity to learn from various educational professionals and speakers in the areas of College and Career Readiness, Mindfulness, Digital Citizenship, Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles. The student leaders from Boonton are excited to turnkey the information to their peers.
