School Street School recently hosted its first Literacy Night of the year, titled Winter Wonderland of Words. Students and families in kindergarten through second grade gathered for an evening filled with engaging, winter-themed literacy activities. Guests enjoyed festive holiday read-alouds, played literacy bingo, completed silly Mad Lib puzzles, built snowmen using sight words, sorted digraphs in a “hot chocolate” activity, and created hula-hoop sentences. Families also explored story elements through music while reading Froggy Gets Dressed. It was a joyful evening of learning, laughter, and community—fun was had by all!
