Boonton Public School is proud to offer a free, full-day preschool program funded by New Jersey's Preschool Expansion Aid. 

To be considered for a seat in our program, residents needed to complete a Lottery Form before February 15, 2026

Our lottery was held on February 17, 2026.  During the application period, we received more applications than there were available openings, so we had to start a waitlist. 

Please complete the Boonton Preschool Waitlist Form if you are a resident of Boonton, are seeking a spot in our full-day preschool program, and are interested in having your child on the waitlist. Please submit a separate form for each child who is eligible for preschool in your household.  

Eligibility

Eligible students must be 3 years of age by October 1, 2026. Any child who will be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2026, is eligible for Kindergarten and should follow Kindergarten Registration directions on the district website.

Selection Process:

If a student drops out or declines a placement and a vacancy occurs, we will go to the next number on the waitlist, and that student's parents will be contacted. The waitlist will remain active and will be utilized throughout the 2026-2027 school year. 

If your child is currently enrolled as 3 year old in our preschool program, you do not need to complete the form.
