• On May 29, 2018, the New Jersey Department of Education formally released the Boonton School District and each of its individual schools’ HIB Grades for the 2016-2017 School Year.  Please take a few minutes to review the official report (linked below).

Beginning with the September 2011-2012 school year, the Boonton School District has conscientiously implemented the requirements found in the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights through appointment of personnel, ongoing education and training, and implementing programs and procedures that support our “no tolerance” stand on Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying. We have made continuous progress in addressing any harassment, intimidation and bullying incidents and in improving our school climate and culture.

While completing the Self-Assessment, we learned that our school district has demonstrated strengths in these areas:  HIB programing, HIB training for students and staff, curriculum and instruction on HIB, appointment of HIB personnel, HIB incident reporting procedures and HIB investigation procedures.

Our school district will continue to seek your involvement in improving our existing HIB programs and policies, and seeking new and innovative programs and initiatives to help further enhance each schools’ climate and culture.  An annual climate for students, parents and staff is conducted each year to further assess our strengths and vulnerabilities.
