Affirmative Action
It is the policy of the Boonton Town Board of Education not to discriminate on the basis of race, culture, religion, sex, gender/gender identities, national origin, socio-economic status, or disabilities in its educational programs or activities and employment policies, as required by Title IX of the Educational Amendments 1972 (prohibiting sex discrimination in education), N.J.A.C. 6:4 (Equality in Education Program), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (prohibiting discrimination against individuals with disabilities).
If an employee, student or parent feels that he/she has been discriminated against, they should file a written grievance with the Affirmative Action Officer who will investigate all allegations.
The Affirmative Action and Title IX officer for the 2021-22 school year is Mr. Steve Gardberg, School Business Administrator. He can be reached via email <steven.gardberg@boontonschools.org> or phone 973.335.9700 x8008
