Last week, Mr. Valle enjoyed the privilege of attending the New Jersey School Boards Association Workshop. Workshop provides a wonderful opportunity for Board of Education members, school administrators, leaders in the field of education, and others to join together as we embrace both opportunities and challenges in education today and align school districts for continued success in the future. A main event of the gathering was new Commissioner of Education, Dr. Lily Laux, offering a keynote address. Dr. Laux highlighted some of the challenges facing school districts - particularly with concern to budgetary challenges that often fall outside the control of districts and municipalities. She also emphasized points of pride for New Jersey public schools. New Jersey students rank among the highest achievers in the nation, and I believe the strong partnerships between NJ communities and their local school districts are a predominant reason why. As a representative of Boonton Public Schools, Mr. Valle is always proud to speak about the tremendous support that the communities of Lincoln Park and Boonton provide for our schools and our students. As we look toward the future of education in the midst of a rapidly evolving world and workspace, we are proud to see how well our students are situated for future success and look forward to continuing to foster conditions for our students to achieve.
