From flying drones to earning your pilot's license, the Aviation Academy provides opportunities for students interested in exploring the skies.

The Aviation Academy offers students comprehensive four-year aviation study options consisting of two aviation STEM career and technical education (CTE) pathways: Pilot and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drones). With as many as 602,000 pilot vacancies and 610,000 technician vacancies anticipated worldwide by 2041, this is a tremendous opportunity for students to pursue aviation careers that they may not have previously considered. Field experiences and extracurricular opportunities are offered in partnership with the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program, through which students will gain the knowledge base that will afford them the opportunity to pursue their Private Pilot Knowledge or Part 107 Remote Pilot Test.

College credits: 12—15 plus any additional credits earned through AP or college-level courses
Field work: 100-hours of field experience
